Frances came into the care of the Waifs and Strays Society at York as a tiny child, following the death of her mother. From 1920 - 31 they gave her a home and a good childhood, and laid the foundations of the deep Christian faith which sustained her all through her life. She never ceased to be grateful for their kindness and care.
John Bell sadly passed away on 10 February 2007 at his home near Sheffield, at the age of 32. He had lived with Motor Neurone Disease for almost six years.
Welcome to our Tribute Fund. We have created this page to help raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and in memory of mum, Kathleen Bennett (nee Bottomley).
John was born in Loughton, Essex on June 26, 1933. He was much loved and will always be remembered by his wife Eileen, son David, daughters Susan and Julia and all his friends.
Our sweetheart Ricky was just 20 years of age when painfully knocked down and killed by a hit and run driver. The driver fled the scene leaving Ricky there to take his last breath.
A year on and nothing changes for us; we sit here feeling emptiness hoping some day he will walk back into our lives.
